Our sincerest condolences for the family! Uncle Don's passing saddens us very much. We greatly cherish the memory of Don. He was a strong presence, it was always a joy to visit him. He had a contagious positive attitude, even though he battled multiple health challenges including the injuries & remaining shrapnel from his service in WWII and later vision impairment. In spite of all this, he remained active both physically including handiwork and intellectually through audio books, and encouraged others. We are glad to hear that he was able to see Aunt Nadine daily at Heartland the last months, he always wanted to do the best for her. As suggested, we will send a gift to Heartland Hospice.
Unfortunately, we are not able to come for the memorial service, but we join you in honoring Don's life, and we send our love and appreciation to all of you, both family, neighbors, and friends, who have supported Don over the last years!
