Obituary

Obituary for Brenda J. Koljat

Brenda Joyce Koljat, 72, of Wickliffe, died Friday, May 29, 2020 at Euclid Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joe; her daughter, Kimberly; her sister, Sandy Miller, and her dog, Sammy Sam. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Lily (Marple) Miller.

Born February 18, 1948 in Cleveland, she was a longtime Kirtland resident before moving to Wickliffe four years ago.

Brenda was employed as an accounts payable/receivable clerk prior to becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. Her joy in life was being with her family, and often shared that her happiest time in life was being a wife and mother.

She made every holiday special, and brought her playful delight into everything she did. She loved going to the movies, enjoyed craft shows, loved watching wrestling, and dabbled in crocheting.

As an example of how supportive she was to her family, she made hundreds of cookies for her daughter’s senior recital reception in college. She was resilient, playful, and observant. She was unconditionally loved and she loved unconditionally.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. Social distancing guidelines will be enforced and masks must be worn masks to enter the funeral home. You may encounter a wait before entering the funeral home.

Private family services and burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to NAMI Lake County, OH, 1 Victoria Square,
Suite 315, Painesville, OH 44077.

Brenda I am sorry you are in my prayers. I have thought about you through out the years and now I am not able to be with your spirit as it passes on to be with our parents. I have always loved you and now I will miss you until I can be with you again. Rest softly in peace and know even though we are apart you will still be in our hearts and minds as we think of all the good times we had together as children specially at Christmas time at Gramps house in Pennsylvania. Love ya, Rick.
